In the moonlight, a town burns

Two souls, twist and turn

One of them, none knows why,

Flies up, snatched by the sky

It’s colored deep turquoise

Doesn’t come as a surprise

As the other one struggles to hold

It starts writing a story untold

A droplet is formed in its eye

A painful, arduous goodbye

Rain falls, fire is quenched

The burnt town, now wet, now drenched

As ‘he’ sees a fading light

Two souls put on a fierce fight

They cry, don’t want to let go

But distance, it seems to grow

There’s blood, as there are entrails,

Why fight, when life is so frail?

A painter captured it all

Ends misery by this windfall

Aftermath of that burnt town,

Made art, sold in thousand pounds
